Care of Encaustic Art (art made w/beeswax)
Encaustic art is extremely archival, but as with any fine art, care should be given. Encaustic paintings will not melt under normal household conditions, but leaving a painting in your car or hanging above a fireplace is not advisable. They are also sensitive to freezing temperatures. Some encaustic paintings become cloudy over time. If this happens, simply rub the surface with a soft cloth to bring back its shine.
